Redeemable Miles are available to use for award travel, but do not count toward reaching elite status. You earn a minimum of 100% credit for paid flights operated by United®, United Express®, TedSM and Star Alliance® members. Miles earned are based on origin and destination of paid, published flights, with a 500-mile minimum accrual for United, United Express, Ted and Star Alliance member flights.
Elite Qualifying Miles/Segments are miles or segments you earn through United flights or promotions that count toward elite status but are not available for award redemption.
50% Elite Qualifying Miles/Segments bonuses.
You earn a 50% EQM bonus and 50% EQS bonus when you purchase and fly select fares in United First®, United Business® or United Economy®. 50% Elite Qualifying Miles/Segments bonuses include transatlantic Lufthansa flights in F, C, Y or B and all US Airways® flights in F, C, Y or B.
